Urban Agriculture Division

Welcome to the UE Urban Agriculture Division, a cutting-edge urban farming initiative committed to transforming the way we grow, market, and consume produce in our cities. Our division harnesses the power of state-of-the-art hydroponic (soilless) growing systems, allowing us to cultivate a wide variety of high-quality, high-yield crops within a controlled environment. From crisp lettuce and vibrant leafy greens to aromatic herbs and nutritious root vegetables, our farms are designed to meet the growing demand for premium, nutritious, and organic produce.

Addressing Food Deserts with Sustainable Solutions

The UE Urban Agriculture Division was established in response to a critical need in our communities: access to fresh, healthy food. In many urban areas, food deserts—regions where nutritious and affordable food is difficult to obtain—are a significant issue. Our mission is to fill this gap by starting farms in the very markets we serve, ensuring that residents in and around major cities have access to the freshest produce available.

Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)

Our innovative approach to farming is rooted in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), a method that allows us to produce food in a way that conserves resources and supports sustainability. By growing crops in a controlled environment, we can optimize conditions for each plant, resulting in higher yields and better quality produce. CEA enables us to grow food year-round, independent of weather conditions, and without depleting our natural resources.

Hydroponic Farming: Efficient and Eco-Friendly

Hydroponic farming is at the heart of our operations. This advanced technique uses 90% less water than traditional soil-based farming, and because it doesn't require soil, it eliminates the need for herbicides or pesticides. This not only reduces the toxic impact on the environment but also ensures that the food we produce is cleaner and safer for consumption. Our produce is grown in upcycled, high-cube shipping containers, each measuring 320 square feet, yet capable of yielding the equivalent of a 3.4-acre farm. This innovative use of space and resources allows us to grow more food in less space, making it an ideal solution for urban settings.

Our Commitment to the Future

COMMITMENT

At UE Urban Agriculture, we are dedicated to building a sustainable future, one where every community has access to fresh, nutritious food. Our farms are more than just a source of produce—they are a model for the future of urban farming. By bringing agriculture closer to the people, we are not only addressing the issue of food deserts but also creating a more resilient and self-sufficient food system. Join us as we cultivate a greener, healthier world for all.
